    OVERVIEW

    We recognise that there are children who wish to come to Bryanston whose parents would find it hard, if not impossible, to pay the fees.

    The Governors have always sought to help parents with modest means to send their children to Bryanston, and this determination remains. To ensure limited funds are distributed equitably, all applicants are asked to complete a detailed bursary application form.

    All bursaries are means-tested and are assessed on an individual basis. Indicators considered are household earnings, value of assets, cost of living expenses, etc.

    Criteria for a bursary

    The criteria for a bursary for UK-based pupils, in addition to financial need, are:

    • The prospective pupil will fulfil the academic requirements for the appropriate year of entry
    • The prospective pupil will engage in the whole life of the school
    • The parents, the prospective pupil and the Head agree that attendance at the school will be a positive experience for the pupil
    • The balance of fees due and other extras will be paid by the due date

    Bursaries can sometimes be awarded as stand-alone assistance but are more commonly awarded in support of, and supplementary to the assistance offered by a scholarship.

    All bursaries are reviewed annually and are subject to our terms and conditions.

    Serving your country can come with many challenges, including frequent moves and relocations due to postings and deployments. As a result, your children’s education may be disrupted, making it difficult for them to maintain consistency in their learning.
