Last week, Bryanston pupils, along with parents and staff in the community, collected essential ingredients to create more than 100 recipe bags for the Blandford Food Bank. Each bag, carefully assembled by the pupils, contains all the necessary ingredients to prepare meals like cottage pie and tuna pasta, ensuring that families in need can enjoy nutritious home-cooked food.
This follows Bryanston Prep’s recent Harvest Festival Service, held at St Martin’s Church and led by school chaplain, Reverend Davis, in which donations were also contributed to the Blandford Food Bank to support local families.
Bryanston’s Head of Charities and Community Engagement, Hannah Fearnley, emphasised the school community’s commitment to helping others saying, “Humanity and a sense of community is at the heart of what we do at Bryanston. Our pupils are aware of the struggles faced by many people in our local area and understand the importance of coming together to offer support and help in any way they can.”
This week also saw generous donations of children’s coats and pyjamas by Prep School families to the clothes bank at The Centre in Ferndown, which is linked to Wimborne Food Bank.
These donations are part of Bryanston’s ongoing commitment to support its local community and local charities and promoting a compassionate and socially responsible environment for its pupils.
