On the 3rd and 4th July 2024, Bryanston held its BryGiving 2024 campaign, raising an impressive £170,000. This amount far exceeded the initial target of £80,000. Most of the funds will support pupils through transformational bursaries, particularly those joining Bryanston via the Royal Springboard Charity.
BryGiving united the entire school community over the 36-hour event, including Old Bryanstonians, pupils, parents, staff and friends of the school. Tens of thousands of pounds were unlocked through matched and challenge funding as specific targets were met.
Various fun events and activities took place, such as a pupil versus staff boat race, with the staff winning and unlocking an additional £2,000 donation. A notable target of 200 individual donors triggered the Head’s Challenge, in which Head Richard Jones participated in the ice bucket challenge.
Victoria Fangen Hall, Director of Development, said, “BryGiving 2024 was an opportunity for the entire community to come together and showcase what we can achieve. We are enormously grateful to everyone who took part and helped us raise such a remarkable amount. Their generosity will provide transformational bursaries, changing the lives of many families and we look forward to welcoming two more children to Bryanston via the SpringBoard Foundation this September.”
The Royal National Children’s SpringBoard Foundation collaborates with state boarding and independent schools to offer fully funded bursary places to children most in need. Through partnerships with schools like Bryanston, the foundation aims to close the gap between young people from low-income families and their more privileged peers, through education.
