Bryanston School Choir competes in Barnardo’s National Choir Competition

7 March 2025

Our School Choir travelled to Birmingham Symphony Hall on Tuesday 4 March for the grand final of Barnardo’s National Choir Competition. A large number of schools entered the competition and the choir were delighted to reach the final sixteen.

The Choir sang two contrasting songs: The Blue Bird by Stanford and One Day More from Les Misérables. It was a wonderful experience to sing in such a stunning venue in front of a huge audience. The choir gave an outstanding performance and received the biggest cheer of the evening.

Director of Music, Xavier Iles commented, “We are so proud of the Choir’s performance this evening. They have worked so hard in rehearsals and gave it everything. It has been an incredible experience to sing in the Birmingham Symphony Hall and one we will all remember.”

Thank you for all the supporters we had at the competition. It was lovely to see so many parents, friends and family in the audience.
