On Tuesday 11 February, our Music Department welcomed over 60 children from eight local schools for our Orchestral Day.
Alongside pupils from Bry Prep, participating schools included Castle Court, Durlston Court, Forres Sandle Manor, Hanford, Hazlegrove, St Mary’s Middle School and Yarrells.
The children attended rehearsals throughout the day and ended with a wonderful concert for parents, performing Bizet’s March from ‘Carmen’. Our thanks to the Directors of Music from each of the schools and to all the children for their hard work.
Bryanston’s Director of Music, Xavier Iles commented: “Once again, Orchestral Day was a fantastic day led by Dave Andrews. The standard of playing by the young musicians was outstanding and we thank them and their music teachers for a super day of music-making.”
