Bryanston has long been celebrated for its innovative and creative approach to education producing a number of successful Old Bryanstonian (OB) entrepreneurs and thriving business ventures. However, entrepreneurial skills are not just for aspiring business leaders; they are essential for all pupils as they prepare for life and employment beyond the classroom.

In her new role, Caroline de Mowbray will guide pupils to think ahead, beyond their time at Bryanston, as they prepare for a rapidly changing world of work. Caroline is designing a comprehensive programme, collaborating closely with both academic and co-curricular departments to further cultivate an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset among pupils.

Additionally, she will work in partnership with Bryanston’s Development team to connect and collaborate with OBs, offering pupils valuable opportunities such as work experience, mentoring, career guidance and critical employability skills.

Richard Jones, Head, said, “Whilst it’s crucial that pupils fully embrace and take advantage of all that Bryanston has to offer during their school years, it is equally important to help them think about what comes next. Caroline will work closely with the Sixth Form staff team, helping to shape pupils’ futures based on their talents, passions and experiences.

“For some pupils, the path ahead may not be a traditional professional career, but rather the exciting prospect of starting their own business. Bryanston provides the perfect environment to incubate these ambitions – offering pupils the time, space and support to test and grow their ideas. Here, pupils can take risks, learn from failure, build confidence and develop their networks. We’re also delighted to receive a generous donation to help with new ventures set up by Bryanston pupils,” he added.

Vision Makers

Head of EIE, Caroline de Mowbray, added, “Having advised early-stage businesses and launched my own ventures, the opportunity to work with Bryanston’s young entrepreneurs is a privilege. I’m eager to see what this next generation of innovators will create in Design Technology or develop to make our world a better place. I look forward to supporting each pupil’s journey beyond Bryanston.”

Whilst reading an MBA at Imperial College, where she specialised in venture creation and strategic branding, Caroline won several business venture awards. More recently, she has worked alongside entrepreneurs and business angels, particularly in the leisure and media industries. Prior to joining Bryanston, Caroline founded her own financial advisory practice and qualified as a Chartered Financial Planner. Caroline is passionate about educating the younger generation on financial literacy and equipping them with the skills for the rapidly evolving world of work.
