With the build-up to iSpeak 2025 gaining energy over the last couple of weeks, the Bryanston community came together at the senior school on Monday for another unforgettable event.
The seventeen brave and determined Prep pupils took to the stage, delivering speeches on the theme of ‘Change’. From thought-provoking explorations of history, from cavemen to a cashless society, to deeply personal and powerful reflections, the range of topics covered was extraordinary.
The audience listened to this group of young speakers who demonstrated their passion, insight and maturity. It was clear that these speeches were not just presentations; they were experiences.
The challenging task of selecting winners fell to the panel of senior school judges, Head Richard Jones, Head of English Emily Weatherby, and COO Nick Dodd. After much deliberation, the coveted iSpeak 2025 titles were awarded to Skyela H (Year 7) and Theia A (Year 6). Their remarkable speeches stood out in a field where every participant shone, showcasing a standard of excellence that made their families, the school and themselves incredibly proud.
Beyond the accolades, the essence of iSpeak 2025 lies in its mission to empower pupils by encouraging them to step out outside their comfort zones, explore topics they are passionate about and develop confidence and self-belief. By these measures, the event was an overwhelming success. Special thanks are due to Peter Fowler, Prep Head of Teaching & Learning, for his efforts in organising it.
As we celebrate this year’s achievements, excitement is already building for iSpeak 2026. We can’t wait to see what the next cohort of young orators will bring to the stage!
