Last week, the Prep performed to parents in a wonderful Autumn Concert held in the senior school’s Elder Concert Hall. The event showcased the remarkable talents of pupils from Reception all the way up to Year 8.
The concert began with the Pre-Prep Choir delivering renditions of ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ and ‘Let’s Go Fly a Kite’. Their confident singing, accompanied by lively actions, set a wonderful tone.
Other performances included a variety of impressive performances, with pieces from the Senior Choir, Year 5 and 6 vocalists, Starter Strings and the String Orchestra. The Junior Choir bought the event to a rousing conclusion with their energetic performances of ‘If Only You Would Listen’ from School of Rock and the iconic ‘The Eye of the Tiger.’
The Year 8 Rock Band electrified the stage with their spirited rendition of The Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude’ which got the audience singing and clapping along.
A special round of applause goes to all the soloists, who performed with confidence and musicality. Special thanks to Poppy W, Erica P (Year 8) and Skyela H (Year 7).
