Congratulations to Bryanston’s outgoing A2 (Upper Sixth) year group, who received an excellent set of A Level results today. We are delighted to announce that 96% of pupils gained a university place with 81% achieving their first choice. A third of all grades were awarded an A* or A equivalent across A Level and IB.

This success follows the school’s record IB results in July, where 64% of pupils achieved 40 points or more. Notably, two pupils achieved the maximum 45 points (putting them in the top 0.5% globally).

Bryanston pupils will now head to a range of prestigious universities both in the UK and overseas. Destinations include Oxford, UCL, Imperial, Edinburgh, LSE, York, SOAS, King’s College London and Warwick as well as Texas A&M in the USA, and IE Madrid, Institut Français de la Mode and University College Maastricht in Europe.

Additionally, pupils will join Music Conservatoires, Professional Dance Training Schools, Film Academies, Art Schools, as well as starting degree apprenticeships – emphasising the growing interest in alternative pathways amongst Bryanston’s sixth formers.

Richard Jones, Head, commented:

“Congratulations to all the A2 pupils on their academic results this year for both A Levels, IB and CTECs. I am immensely proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing them flourish in their chosen specialisms. It is important to remember that success should be measured by more than just academic results. Bryanston cultivates academic excellence while encouraging diverse and personalised pathways for its pupils, preparing them for success in whichever direction their interests take them beyond the school.”

Commenting further on the results, Liz Thornton, Head of Sixth Form, said:

“These A Level, IB and CTEC results are testament to an excellent group of young people dedicated to their own individual outcomes. I am delighted that so many have achieved a university place of their choice, which is wonderful news. It is very encouraging to see pupils pursuing a whole range of pathways beyond Bryanston, a true reflection of the breadth of our offering in the Sixth Form here.”
