On Wednesday 12 March the Chamber Choir joined forces with the Bryanston Choral Society to sing in this year’s Spring Concert at Christchurch Priory.
The programme included Vivaldi’s Gloria, Blessed be the God and Father by Wesley and Lo, the Full, Final Sacrifice by Finzi. The three soloists; Nancy G, Grace M and Head of Singing, Camilla Foster Mitchell, were all outstanding. Bryanston string players also played wonderfully alongside the professional musicians in the orchestra.
The first half of the concert included three superb solo performances from Lea P (piano), Carl A (voice) and Loughlin T (double bass).
Director of Music, Xavier Iles commented: “My thanks to everyone who took part in making this a very special concert. It is a superb experience for our pupils to sing a large-scale choral work with the Choral Society and we are very grateful to them for joining us.”
