We are delighted to announce that Lizzy O (C year group) has been selected to join the National Youth Music Theatre (NYMT). Out of approximately 1,100 applicants, Lizzy was one of only 30 chosen for a role in Tuck Everlasting, which will be performed at the Birmingham Hippodrome from 14-16 August 2025. In addition, she will attend three residential courses during the school holidays.
Reflecting on her achievement, Lizzy said, “I am so excited. The performing arts staff at Bryanston have helped me so much leading up to the audition offering support and tips.”
Bryanston’s Director of Performing Arts, Vicki Green, added, “We are so proud of Lizzy for this achievement. She worked incredibly hard in preparation for her audition and truly deserves this remarkable opportunity. I really look forward to going to Birmingham to watch her in her performance this summer.”
Tuck Everlasting tells the story of Winnie Foster, an eleven-year-old girl yearning for adventure beyond her white picket fence. When she unexpectedly crosses paths with the Tuck family, Winnie embarks on an extraordinary journey that forces her to choose between returning to her former life or continuing alongside the Tucks on their infinite voyage.
The National Youth Music Theatre is a UK-based arts organisation that provides pre-professional training and stage experience for young performers. It is widely regarded as one of the country’s most dynamic and innovative youth music theatre companies, consistently nurturing the next generation of talent.
Lizzy, a Performing Arts scholar who joined Bryanston from Castle Court School, will undoubtedly make the most of this opportunity to further develop her talents.
