Beyond Bryanston

Beyond Bryanston is our extended community of alumni, current pupils, their families and our staff

Our motto, ‘et nova et vetera’, (‘the new and the old’) is embodied in our relationships with our network of old Bryanstonians (OBs). Bryanston pupils remain part of the Bryanston family long after leaving the school, joining an extensive OB network that hosts regular reunions and social networking events worldwide.

Our Development Office connects all former pupils, staff, and parents with the school’s vibrant community.

Volunteering

Volunteers play a vital role in enriching our community. We’re always looking for career mentors, university champions, work experience providers, knowledge sharers, event hosts, venue liaisons, guest speakers, magazine contributors, social media influencers and more.

Mentoring

Many OBs serve as mentors to our pupils and staff, offering invaluable support and inspiration drawn from their wealth of experience. This mentoring plays a crucial role in motivating and guiding pupils across our four pillars: Creative and Performing Arts, Sports, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Digital World. In 2024, OBs joined the school’s Arts Advisory and Sports Advisory Boards, to offer their expertise and guidance to the school community.

Beyond Bryanston, the school’s digital networking platform functions much like a Bryanston LinkedIn, connecting OBs across various careers. It facilitates successful networking and career opportunities, offering invaluable advice on CV-building, securing work experience, and navigating apprenticeship and internship programmes.

We take great pride in the generous support of our OBs, reflecting their deep affection for the school and their commitment to giving back. Our Beyond Bryanston network underpins our dedication to supporting our pupils beyond their school years, through a supportive community and lifelong relationships.

Giving to Bryanston

BryGiving 2024 raised an incredible £170k over a two day event at the school. Most of the funds will support pupils through transformational bursaries, particularly those joining Bryanston via the Royal Springboard Charity.

There are numerous ways you can contribute and your generosity is truly appreciated:

  • Donate online
  • Set up a direct debit or pay by BACS
  • Form to pay by BACS, card or cheque (PDF)
  • US donation form
  • Sponsor an ECA
  • Legacy giving – offers significant tax benefits as charitable donations don’t count towards the taxable value of your estate. We take great pleasure in recognising those who inform us of their intent to remember us. Such benefactors are welcomed into The Coade Society, our esteemed community of legacy supporters. Members receive a thoughtful token of appreciation, either a pair of exquisite solid silver cufflinks or a silver brooch, in addition to an annual invitation to lunch with the Head, providing an inside view of the school’s progress and aspirations.

All you need is our registered address and charity number: Bryanston School, Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT110PX. Charity number: 306210. While the amount of your gift remains confidential, we kindly request that you inform us of your intentions so we may express our heartfelt gratitude.
