Bryanston now offers First Aid and a wide range of Health and Safety training courses for local organisations, businesses, schools and anyone wishing to upgrade their skills or maintain compliance.

We provide a range of standard First Aid courses, including the one-day Emergency First Aid at Work through to the full 18-hour First Aid at Work course. We can also provide bespoke courses that meet the needs of your environment, and the risks associated with your activities.

For early years school settings, and even mums and dads, the Paediatric First Aid qualification is not only an essential provision, but a vital course to undertake to help protect the ones close to your heart.

Emergency first aid at work

This one-day (six-hour) course will enable candidates to understand their actions and interventions in emergency first aid. The course covers first aid for adult casualties and would be best for those in low-risk environments, as dictated by their First Aid needs assessment

first aid at work

This 3-day (2 day blended) course will provide the candidate with the most in-depth first aid training. Where the workplace is more high risk, or as warranted by their first aid needs assessment, this course is designed to arm the first aider with the knowledge to deal with common workplace accidents and ill-health emergencies.

We provide an 18-hour blended learning option for this course, designed to minimise candidate time away from their workplace.

Initially, the candidate will undertake online learning which is self-directed, and is expected to take a day to complete. However, the candidate will be able to dip in and out of the online training, rather than the need to sit the online training in one solid day. The online training must be completed before they attend the face-to-face element of the course.

Then the candidate will then be in the classroom for 2 days which will be led by our trainer.

Paediatric first aid

For those who work in schools, or parents who want the knowledge, to deal with paediatric emergencies, our Paediatric First Aid course will help you meet your regulatory requirements and build your confidence to manage babies and children. This course meets the EYFS and Ofsted framework.

We provide this course via a 12-hour blended option, to ensure the candidates time away from their setting is low.

Initially, the candidate will undertake online learning, is self-directed, and is expected to take a day to complete. However, the candidate will be able to dip in and out of the online training, rather than the need to sit the online training in one solid day. The online training must be completed before they attend the face-to-face element of the course.

Then the candidate will then be in the classroom for 1 day and will be led by our trainer. You’ll work with the group to share knowledge, and to practice your skills.

Emergency first aid for schools

This seven-hour course is designed for those in a school setting. Candidates undertake the HSE approved one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course and receive additional modules on the care of those with common medical conditions that teachers and staff deal with in education, for both adult and child casualties.

Emergency first aid for sports

This eight-hour course is designed for those who manage, coach and support sports activities in school and elsewhere.

fire awareness

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 places responsibilities on employers to ensure all employees receive basic training on workplace fire safety. Fire risks remain a real concern around business continuity and life risk. Everyone within the workplace plays a unique role in supporting the business in maintaining fire safety standards and reporting concerns.

Our half day Fire safety course will provide the candidate with the knowledge to prevent fire occurring in their workplace, the actions they should take and familiarisation with fire extinguishers.

fire Marshall

Employers are required to provide fire safety training to all employees, and whilst our Fire Awareness course will enable you for comply with this obligation, there are occasions where some staff require additional training to help them undertake a more specialist role within their workplace.

Our four-hour Fire Marshal course provides the candidate with the knowledge and skills to assist their employer with their duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Manual Handling

Muscular skeletal disorders are one of the most reported injury incidents in workplace and can potentially lead to significant time off work. Poor handlings tasks can affect both employers and employees, with personal home life affected by manual handling tasks.

Our half day course is designed to arm the candidate with knowledge and guidance to support their work, as well as ensuring compliance with the manual handling operations regulations.

Meet our trainer

Kieran Williams CMIOSH

Kieran has been a first aid instructor for over 10 years, delivering first aid qualifications to over 1000 people.

He has experience, and continues to work in, the ambulance service. This enables him to provide some real examples of first aid practice and can guide first aiders, step by step through their role, during our training days, to instil confidence.

Candidates can be assured of a simple clear delivery of information vital for their role and their own development in First Aid and safety training.

As a Chartered Safety & Health Professional, and member of several professional bodies, Kieran has a duty to maintain his own professional development and ensure the right guidance and information is passed to those who attend our courses.

Kieran has several medical, safety and fire qualifications, including a Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health and Fire Safety & Risk Management form the Fire Service College.
