Netball

Why do we play Netball?

Netball holds a central place at Bryanston, offering numerous benefits as a team sport. Its unique team-based approach fosters individual growth alongside teamwork, effective communication, and strong team bonds.

By requiring collaboration and cooperation, netball develops crucial teamwork skills applicable across school life. Students of all skill levels can enjoy netball, benefiting from the opportunity to participate and experience sportsmanship firsthand.

'I love netball for its fast pace, teamwork, and strategic depth. As a sports scholar, I've gained access to high-quality coaching and state-of-the-art facilities, refining my skills and fostering discipline. The competitive environment and support network have significantly elevated my performance, allowing me to thrive and achieve new heights in the game. This experience has not only enhanced my game but also instilled valuable life lessons in perseverance and teamwork!'

Who can play Netball?

Netball is accessible to all girls in the School. In the Autumn term, the girls have access to a winter league, pre-season training sessions and cup county competitions.

In the Spring term, girls of all ages and abilities have access to a comprehensive and competitive training programme (up to four sessions a week) and weekly fixtures. In the Summer term, the girls enter a local league.

We offer a tailored coaching approach to meet the needs of players at different levels of skill and commitment, whether they are top-level or playing for fun. We have teams in each year group and each environment will best support the needs of that team and pupil.

‘Bryanston helped me to solidify my love for netball and helped me to grow as a player on and off the court. The Bryanston netball club is truly one of a kind. Being a sport scholar at Bryanston has really helped me to feel more confident on and off the court, the PSP programme has helped me to work on technique to further improve my game play and being part of such a special team will be a forever memory.’
