Pupil achieves Choral scholarship to Cambridge
Congratulations to Charlotte H on being awarded a choral scholarship to Cambridge University.
Charlotte applied for a choral scholarship after receiving an academic offer from Cambridge. She had two auditions, one at Homerton College and one at the Faculty of Music in Cambridge with the Director of Music at Homerton.
Charlotte had had no choral experience before joining Bryanston in the sixth form, where she has sung in the Allegri Choir, Chamber Choir and specialist choirs, and taken part in evensong at Winchester and Chichester cathedrals, as well as regular church services in school.
Charlotte says "I'm really pleased to have been offered a scholarship, as it means I will have the opportunity to sing with the Chapel Choir twice weekly, as well as receiving singing lessons and taking part in an annual tour."
She hopes that gaining strong classical training for three years at university will enable her to go on to a postgraduate course in Musical Theatre where she will learn good vocal techniques required for both singing and acting.
