IB music recital
Alma and Johannes are two A3 students studying the IB course who impressed their audience on Wednesday 6 May 2015 at 8.15pm in the Elder Concert Hall.
Johannes started the concert by playing Bach’s Sonata VI in G (BWV 1019), 1st movement: Allegro and Schubert’s Sonata in A major for violin and piano (D574), 1st movement: Allegro moderato.
Alma took over with a performance on the piano - Sonata in E flat Op. 27 No. 1, 1st movement: Andante by Beethoven.
Johannes returned to perform Brahms’ Rhapsody No. 2 on the piano. Alma followed with two Brahms movements on the viola - Sonata in F minor Op. 120 No. 1, 1st movement: Allegro appassionato and 2nd movement: Andante un poco adagio.
Both Alma and Johannes performed at a very high level and produced a highly enjoyable recital. The accompanist was assistant Director of Music, Graham Scott.
