Extreme sports athlete, Tim Emmett, inspires pupils
On Sunday 3 March, renowned British extreme sports athlete, speaker and climbing coach, Tim Emmett, visited Bryanston. Tim had a superb impact not only on our keen climbers, but also the the rest of the school through his inspirational talk. Topics Tim covered included 'How can you achieve your personal best?’ and getting out of the 'waiting room' in life. Tim used his background of extreme sports and wild jobs to keep the audience entertained throughout. He focussed on keeping an open mind, goal setting, trying hard, being prepared, having a positive attitude, being on time and perseverance.
The bouldering masterclass helped many of our pupil climbers improve their technique and understanding of climbing, along with applying efficient movement.
Tim received a great deal of thanks from pupils, with many finding him at lunch to discuss some of the finer details of his life and ambitions.
