Art students selected to exhibit work at Summer Show
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that three of Bryanston’s art students had been selected to present their artwork at the Royal Academy of Young Artists’ Summer Show.
The Royal Academy hosts a Young Artists’ Summer Show each year where they exhibit the work of young artists between the ages of five and 19 years. This year Bryanston will be represented by three of its talented pupils: Jemima A, Phoebe W and Charlie H. Jemima and Charlie have both secured a place in the online exhibition this year, where they will be given the opportunity to exhibit their work virtually. Phoebe has also secured a place in the online exhibition as well as the onsite exhibition at the Royal Academy during an event that is planned to take place in the autumn.
This is a great achievement for our three pupils, whose artwork had to pass a panel of art experts including Royal Academicians, RA curators and RA School students before it was selected for the Summer Show. Head of Art Douglas Knight is delighted with his pupils’ nominations, commenting, ‘We had a number of pupils enter this competition and to have three selected from the same school is very pleasing and demonstrates the breadth of creativity our pupils possess.’
Well done to Jemima, Phoebe and Charlie.
