Strong performances at GCSE
Bryanston pupils have achieved some very pleasing GCSE results this year.
79% of all papers were graded A*-B and 58 pupils (more than 45% of the year group) achieved an A* or A in six or more subjects. Of those, five pupils achieved 10 or more A*s, including one who received an outstanding 12 A*s.
There were strong performances across a range of subjects with 100% A*/A grades in Music, Greek and Graphics, 89% A*(distinction), A* or A in Further Maths and 63% A*/A in Spanish. Pupils also continue to do well in the sciences with 90% A*/A grades in Physics, 78% in Biology and 76% in Chemistry.
The Head, Sarah Thomas, commented, “The pupils are to be congratulated on all their hard work. They’ve done as they should, or better, and I’m delighted for them. I know they will enjoy their sixth form study and I look forward to watching them meet the new challenges of A levels or IB and further broadening their horizons. Well done!”
