About the events
Art
The Annual Summer Art Exhibition is an opportunity for our pupils to showcase their work across our year groups and various courses. Inevitably there is a focus on the achievements of A2s – many of whom are going on to study Art further, but also displaying the emerging talent of our younger years. The Art Exhibition runs across both floors to include Photography, Fine Art, 3D and IB work.
D&T
The Annual D&T Exhibition is an opportunity for our pupils to showcase their work, come and look at this years’ D, GCSE, A Level and IB Design & Technology work. Also on display will be a wide variety of ECA related outcomes, including this years’ Greenpower Cars. We look forward to welcoming you.
Dance
Our end of term performance, ‘A night with the Stars’, brings together our dancers from across all year groups and styles to bring you an evening of dance and live music. A collection of group and solo performances will demonstrate the talent of our pupils as they show how their hard work and dedication to dance will come together in a wonderful end of year performance.
Drama - The End
A group of friends head down to a cottage in Dorset to celebrate the end of their A levels. As one of the party attempts to make a reality TV style documentary of their time together, we see their weekend develop both on stage and on screen. What begins as a fun weekend, relaxing on the beach and in the pub, disintegrates into arguments and upsets as the play reaches a tense and dramatic climax.
Film
Bryfilm present a collection of pupils made short films made at Bryanston, on Coade Hall’s Big Screen. Films vary from 1 - 7 minutes in length and include examples of suspense, comedy, music, coming of age, documentary, rockumentary and mockumentary genres, as well as a few films that simply refuse to be placed in categories of any kind.
Grimm's Fairy Tales
An outdoor promenade performance of a selection of the Grimm Brothers' traditional folk and fairy tales. Beginning and ending in the Greek Theatre, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm will lead you through multiple woodland locations as they bring their dark and mythical stories to life. Featuring well-known characters such as Little Red Cap, Snow White and Rumpelstiltskin and including stories you may discover for the first time. Audiences for all performances should meet at Coade Theatre.
MUSIC
To celebrate a superb year of music, the end of term Ensemble Concert will showcase some of the Music Department’s instrumental and vocal groups, including the Orchestra, Camerata, Concert Band, Steel Pans, School Choir and C/D Choir. A wonderful concert to round off the year!
The summer bands gig returns to the Quad! The Soul Band and Big Band will also be performing, providing a huge sound to compliment the summer sunshine. We can expect an array of styles and genres from our bands, such as songs from Sade, Ed Sheeran, Queen, The Killers and many more.
Sport - HOUSE ATHLETICS
House athletics is the culmination of the 2023/2024 sporting calendar at Bryanston and competition between houses will be fierce, fast and fun. Pupils from all year groups will be competing against each other across both track and field events. Come along and support!
