The English Department hold a number of trips and events each year to encourage pupils to look at the world of English outside of school life.
Recent visits include Chief Leader Writer of The Times, Simon Nixon, who visited in May to hold a mock leader conference, and authors Faysal Mikdadi and Stewart Foster who have both held writers' workshops at the school.
In summer 2019, the A level English cohort went to The Globe to see Henry V. In September 2019, a group of A3 pupils went to see 'Posh' by Laura Wade at the Theatre Royal, Bath. We look forward to welcoming Box Clever Theatre Company's performance of A Christmas Carol for the D year group in December and sixth formers have a trip to see The Duchess of Malfi at the Almeida Theatre in January 2020.
