Bryanston cricketers claim victory over the Royal Household

On the hottest day of the year so far, Bryanston's First XI cricket team travelled to Windsor to face the Royal Household.

The Royal Household started strong, led by a talented Australian cricketer who scored 112 runs off 74 balls, setting a total of 241 in 45 overs. Henry T took three wickets for 31 runs, Alfie A I claimed three wickets for 42 runs and Ranuk J took two wickets for 44 runs.

After an amazing tea provided by the Royal Household staff, Bryanston took to the field. Leo C and Ralph D got the team off to a solid start, both scoring half centuries with 50 and 55 runs respectively. Ranuk joined Alfie later, forging a crucial 108-run partnership that secured victory in 37 overs. Ranuk finished on 61 runs not out, while Alfie contributed 48 not out.

Reflecting on the match, Ranuk said, “It was a challenging chase, but every member of the team played a part in our success. We’re proud of our performance and grateful to Mr Scott and Mr Morris for their coaching throughout this year, which has brought Bryanston cricket to where it is now. Special thanks to Mr Bray for making this fixture possible.”
