Presentation by Andrew Bernardi: The 1696 Stradivarius Violin
Published: 22 June 2016
On Friday 17 June, violinist Andrew Bernardi came to Bryanston to show pupils his 1696 Stradivarius Violin.
Andrew demonstrated its sound with performances of Monti's Czardas and Kreisler's Praeludium and Allegro. Pupils also had the chance to ask questions. After the talk, older pupils had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play the Stradivarius, which was a truly inspiring experience.
Andrew is one of the country's most versatile violinists and has performed with the Royal Philharmonic and London Concert Orchestra.
Many thanks to Andrew for taking the time to come to Bryanston.
