C Scholars' Concert
Published: 15 November 2017
The C Scholars’ Concert took place on 1 November in the Elder Concert Hall.
Theodore B started the concert with a performance of the American folk dance Hornpipe on the tuba. Lingling BS sang Poor Wandering One by Gilbert and Sullivan. Iona M played Song without words by Mendelssohn on the cello. William S sang A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square by Manning Sherwin. Lingling returned to finish the concert with a flamboyant performance of Czardas by Monti (with the cadenza and elaboration made by Lingling) on the violin.
Well done to all the pupils who performed and thank you to the accompanists Christina Scott, Graham Scott and Matthew Shenton.
