OB creates fire sculpture for Neckar Island
Published: 30 April 2015
OB contemporary sculptor Aragorn Dick-Read has recently completed a commission that is installed on Necker Island, Richard Branson's private resort in the British Virgin Islands.
Aragorn was asked to create one of his iconic metal fireballs for his famous neighbour, to be used as a focal point for evening story telling on the beach.
Aragorn creates distinctive metal sculptures made from cut, beaten and patinated metal, often designed to contain fire. Bryanston is lucky enough to have our own sculpture, a large metal cube, in the school grounds, installed this year and lit as part of the A2 Charities' Fair.
