Artist Ian Murphy visits Bryanston for GCSE workshop
Our C GCSE pupils were treated to a drawing and experimental workshop with artist Ian Murphy last week.
Ian is best known for his powerful and tonal drawings, as well as his atmospheric mixed media oil paintings of architectural places.
A selection of pupils from Bryanston Knighton House were also in attendance – a perfect example of how our prep and senior schools come together as one community.
Head of Art Doug Knight commented: “Providing our pupils with opportunities to work with established artists such as Ian Murphy is an excellent experience. Workshops like this help develop their confidence.
“It was great to see pupils from younger years working alongside C pupils as a successful collaboration.”
Our Art Department regularly welcome pupils from Bryanston Knighton House to workshops and painting sessions.
